Textbook costs impact students at 911±¬ÁÏÍø and at other colleges and universities across the country. 911±¬ÁÏÍø has worked very closely with students and student leadership across all four campuses to discuss the challenges many students face because of the high cost of textbooks. From those discussions, the Collegewide Textbook Affordability Committee, consisting of 911±¬ÁÏÍø students, administrators, and faculty, was created to improve textbook affordability and exploring new textbook affordability initiatives.

Students saved $3.3 million on course materials in FY24.

Students are encouraged to continue the conversations around textbook affordability, to get involved with your Campus student leadership, and consider participating in the Collegewide Textbook Affordability Committee.

The 911±¬ÁÏÍø Textbook Access Program – 911±¬ÁÏÍø Books

911±¬ÁÏÍø Books provides students access to the required course materials (eBooks, textbooks, and some supplies depending on the course/program) at the start of each term. 911±¬ÁÏÍø Books allows our College to reduce student course materials costs in comparison to traditional print text and ensures every student has access to their course materials before the first day of class. Students can focus on their education as opposed to figuring out how to find and pay out-of-pocket for their course materials. The cost of the textbook/digital content is included as an additional book fee on your schedule and student account.
